Their Home on Wheels? The SRT-18
As much as we loved 4 years in the Troopy, we ultimately found ourselves craving more space and comfort as we continue to live and work on the road. A caravan is the ultimate home on wheels, it gives us the freedom to keep exploring while still enjoying the everyday comforts!


There are so many different caravans out there, but the decision to go with the SRT-18 was an easy one for us! We feel the SRT-18 is the perfect size caravan for us, not too big, not too small. Being a single axle van, it’s also super easy to tow and manoeuvre. Overall, it just ticks all of our boxes!
What travel destinations would you always go back to?
Australia is so diverse and every state has something incredible to offer, but there’s a few places that have really captured our hearts! We absolutely love WA, particularly the Ningaloo Coast and the Kimberley! Tassie is a favourite of ours too, we love how diverse it is! Within a few hours you can go from alpine mountains, to lush rainforest and then pristine beaches! There’s still so much of Australia we’re yet to see that we can’t wait to explore with our Snowy!
Why did you decide to full time travel?
We’ve always loved camping and enjoying the outdoors! Every weekend we’d throw a swag on the back of our old ute and head away. On the drive home, we’d talk about how amazing it would be to just keep going. We decided to make our dream a reality, and spent the next year working and saving as much as we could while building our Troopy and prepping to hit the road. We originally set out to do a 12 month lap of Australia, but here we are four years later! It’s the best decision we ever made and we’re incredibly grateful for this lifestyle.
What kind of travellers are you?
We really enjoy off-grid travel! We love getting off the beaten track and away from crowds. There’s just something special about waking up at a secluded camp site, surrounded by nature!
